Phone rings- tring! tring!

Me- Yes Mom!

Mom-You have to attend a family get together after your office tomorrow. . .

Me- what? Not again mom. I have to carry another dress along! I cant

Mom- Darling “you have to” I said !!

Me- Uurhhh…Okay

We often get confused what to wear in small family parties especially when we are going there, right after the office. Some of us take separate bags along to carry party outfits! But what if we choose that one outfit that goes well with almost everything? Yeah. You would definitely call me a nerd but this is how I have been attending any sort of parties’ ever since I discovered this trick.

Well, as you can see I have styled a bright red kurta from a brand called Vishudh with both jeans and palazzo pants. Here I chose to wear the kurta on top of jeans for my work. But don’t go with this pic, I am definitely not a sunglass person (used here for some good click though)

For the second look, I paired the same red kurta with an off white palazzo, dupatta, and a pair of ethnic jhumkas with a deep red lip. I personally believe putting on a bright lip with any sort of dress can alleviate the entire look instantly! Are you also a lipstick person like me by the way?

The outfit I chose is a very modish and sultry kind of cotton, straight fit red kurta with elbow-length sleeve. The material is pure cotton. Hence I do not even feel heavy during my office hours and can easily attend parties with the same vibrant red kurta by just styling it with proper accessories and bottom wear.

I am little bit crazy about trying out new body washes. Here I showed up again with a body wash review. One brand that I adore very much for its different kinds of body washes is none other than The Body Shop.

I bought the Almond milk and Honey shower cream back in the winter months when I was having a serious dryness all over my body. I reached out to one of the body shop store nearby and thanks to the lady who rescued me from this! Initially I get through soaps and some drugstore shower gels like nobody’s business. But lately I realized that my skin is getting drier day by day. It almost lost its smoothness and life. After switching my shower gels to the Body shop shower cream, I felt nothing but to instantly blog about, so here it is.

Shall I use the body wash?

If you are someone with sensitive to dry skin then you can definitely go ahead and use it

Price & Quantity

Priced at INR 450 for a 250 ml of product. I know a lot of you might be thinking a little up there, but this product will last you a really long time because it lathers beautifully. You actually need a very small amount of product.

You can purchase the product here

My Personal Experience

First of all, this body wash smells of very mild, but couldn’t exactly relate to anything. It is enriched with almond milk and honey that nourishes and moisturizes the skin from within. It does not make my skin feel dry or flaky, even if I happen to use it every single day. Also good for sensitive skin beauties. One thing I also noticed is that I don’t necessarily have to use a body lotion after using the shower cream. Someday I actually forgot when I am in a hurry but what about the rest of the days?

Yeah you know I feel lethargic someday and someday I am like okay, I can skip it anyway. But surprisingly that does not make any changes to my skin. It gives a fresh feel and lock in moisture. I have seen the improvement in my skin ever since I started using this product. Also, the bottle comes with an effective flip top cap so you are not gonna end up with more product in your hand than required.

Shower Cream range I tried from The Body Shop

I got my hands on the 3 range so far and here I am listing down all the details below-

1. Almond Milk and Honey Shower Cream

2. Rich Plum Shower Gel

3. British Rose Shower Gel

Lastly, to be honest, every product from The body shop that I have tried till date has been of excellent quality. They put a variety of irresistible natural items into their ingredients and that is why their bath range is literally no exception.

I am a person with combination skin and I tend to reach out to any face powder way too often. Especially in summers my skin becomes absolutely an oil tank from its state of desert in winters. Though Maybelline Fit Me Compact is not a new launch or something, but ever since I used it I just loved it. It is my second purchase for a face powder and I almost carry it everywhere. So lately I felt of sharing my experience using this powder to kind of help you sort out your purchase decision.

Mabelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless Powder
Shade: 330 Toffee

Product Description

The Maybelline Fit Me MATTE+PORELESS Compact come in a pretty black square shaped packaging with a see through glass lid attached with a mirror inside. Also it is not so flimsy that it would break after a single soft fall. The pan is pretty enough though and it will take you several months to hit the pan on the product even if you use it daily. Being little bit costly than a drugstore brand should be, you might go for an alternative. But trust me it is the perfect compact for those having a combination to oily skin.

Toffee is the exact match for my dusky toned face. Work well when I don’t need a brighter look but I want to take down the oily skin problems. When applied on skin it gives a flawless look for the next few hours. The compact can be applied with a damp sponge to use it as a foundation. It actually stays longer and provides good coverage for those unwanted blemishes on skin. Do check out your shade before buying it.

My Experience using Fit Me MATTE+PORELESS Compact

This is my second purchase for a face compact and I have no complain for this so far. Even I have been carrying it almost everywhere for my touch up. Especially in the humid weather when I can’t even think of using any foundation, this Fit Me compact came to the rescue. After applying my sunscreen I just press it all over my face. It provides the perfect matte look and hides my pores (though I don’t have major open pore problems) perfectly.

The brand actually claims to stay up to 12 hours but I personally noticed it stays good roughly up to 3 to 4 hours. IDK, it might be due to the humidity or something else, but this is how I feel after using it for almost 6 months now. Also looking at the price point, INR 490 is quite fair enough though when considering the quantity of the product and the fact that it comes with a mirror. You can always check on website to avail some great discounts on it. I got it around INR 350 apprx from an online sale. Also there are a lot of shades introduced to the Fit Me Range by the Brand Maybelline to suite diverse skin tones.

I have always been fascinated with fashion and lifestyle. Whenever I felt low or demotivated, I jazzed up my mood either by window shopping or styling my outfits, be it Indian or western. Recently, I came across a brand on Myntra called Nayo Clothing!

I have had a look at their modern ethnic outfit collections and that totally blew my mind. They are simple yet chic. They have wide ranges of outfit categories starting from kurta, ethnic skirts, to trousers, and many more.

A-line dresses are in trend nowadays and I absolutely love stocking them up. As I can wear it either as a dress or pair up with matching leggings/cigarette pants to give it a kurta look.

The outfit I got is a very simple yet elegant Pastel Green & Red, Floral Printed A-Line Dress. The material is Pure Cotton, which I absolutely love in the summer season! The Dress has a tassel detail at back, a round neck, elbow-length sleeves, and flared hem.

They also have various shades of pastels, dyed, solid prints that give a modern versatile look to each of their outfits. Also, the sleeve styles and detailing of some outfits are just fabulous!

I chose to style this with handcrafted tassel earring, Juttis, and a contrasting black clutch. You can find this outfit both on Myntra & Nayo Clothing

Here I came up with another interesting fashion post where I shared 3 different ways to style a basic black top. I choose this look to be specifically with black top because we ladies, must have at least one black top in our wardrobe. So you don’t necessarily have to buy another top to style your different outfits. It is also helpful if you are travelling somewhere and do not want to carry a lot of mess. If you have a basic black top ten just take it and mix and match with every bottoms. So let’s just dig into the post-

Here I paired my Black basic top with a flowy skirt that I got from Jabong a really long time back. I almost never touched it since I bought this skirt. Then I thought of reusing it and to experiment with the look I wore this with black top. The top comes with ‘V’ neck and 3/4th sleeve and material is very soft and wearable. The entire look actually turned out phenomenal and I just loved it. Here are some of the looks-

Flowy Skirt Look

Coming to the second look, here I have paired it with the exact opposite shade. I chose my cropped white jeggings with the same top and trust me this was my most experimental look I have ever come up with. I personally felt that this look was kind of giving me that office kind of look. But nonetheless totally wearable and comfortable for day outing if you want to keep it minimal yet classy.

Took my current favourite bag from Westside, a classy golden watch from Daniel Klein and Block wedges on heels and I good to go.

Cropped Jeggings from Myntra

The final look is sassy yet classy. I pull out my most favourite skirt and wore it with my black top. Perfect if you are travelling. If often happens to me that I carry less cloths for a short trip and awkwardly I need to stay back there than usual. I don’t like wearing the same jeans look everyday and then my skirt comes to the rescue.

That is it for this post. I hope y’ll found this post helpful. Leave me your comments or suggestion in the comments below. Also let me know what do you want me to post next. Also if you have any idea, do share with me. I’d love to hear.

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Before I start writing about today’s blog post, I just wanted to say ‘excuse me’ for not posting any blogs since a decade I guess. I won’t say that I was so busy but even I don’t know where I have been wandering all these days !

But you know it’s indeed said “the happiness lies within us”, so maybe I was just trying to figure out the things that I love doing and be blissful. So here I poured in my love in this post 🙂
